Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming patients and visitors to the office, providing a warm and courteous greeting
  • Answering and directing phone calls, responding to voicemails, and managing multiple phone lines
  • Processing patient payments, balancing the cash drawer, and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Scheduling and rescheduling patient appointments, confirming appointments, and managing task lists
  • Verifying patient insurance information, working with multiple websites, and ensuring accurate data entry
  • Assisting patients with check-out procedures, providing necessary paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized reception area
  • Working collaboratively with other staff members to achieve common goals and objectives
  • Providing exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • Successful completion of a medical front office program or on-the-job training with an emphasis on customer service
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively, exercise tact, and work independently
  • Basic office skills, including typing, transferring calls, and faxing
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on the computer for extended periods
