Key Responsibilities

At Groups Recover Together, our Counselors are essential to our mission. If facilitating group therapy excites you, this position is tailored for you. We strive to redefine industry norms, ensuring you are not solely responsible for every aspect of care for our members. As a Counselor, you will play a pivotal role within a collaborative care team that includes prescribers, care navigators, peer recovery coaches, and office managers. Together, we deliver a comprehensive clinical model grounded in the belief that counseling, medication, and community support are vital for achieving lasting recovery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the treatment team, serving as the authority on addiction and recovery, and coordinate treatment decisions for members.
  • Manage a caseload and schedule that aligns with the needs of the office and region while enhancing your clinical skills.
  • Collaborate with team members regarding the clinical service model.
  • Facilitate 2-3* one-hour group therapy sessions that cultivate recovery skills and community engagement through our established curriculum.
  • Document member progress using outcome measures (Core Milestones) and client feedback (NPS scores).
  • Engage proactively in community outreach activities:
    • Distribute promotional materials to community stakeholders highlighting Groups and its mission.
    • Participate in community meetings focused on substance abuse and addiction issues.

Qualifications
  • An active IN behavioral health license, including but not limited to: LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC, associate level licensure.
  • Demonstrated compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and dedication to member success.
  • Availability to work 2-3 evenings per week until 9 PM as required.
  • Preferred backgrounds and skills include: mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
