This role encompasses certifications in Epic MyChart and Epic Ambulatory.

The MyChart Analyst is tasked with configuring the MyChart application to align with patient needs. Previous experience with MyChart and integration applications is advantageous. This position collaborates closely with our Ambulatory and Patient Access Analysts, along with various third-party vendors.

The Ambulatory Analyst focuses on configuring the ambulatory application to cater to the requirements of ambulatory offices. Experience in ambulatory orders and integration applications is beneficial. This role works in tandem with our Orders, Patient Access, and PB Analysts, as well as other external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Completes assigned Epic certifications, training, projects, and testing.Collaborates with fellow EHR Certified Analysts on designated applications.Handles Epic-related tasks as directed by the supervisor.Offers technical expertise and business process knowledge to project teams addressing systemic or process challenges within assigned areas.Provides insights on alternative solutions, ensuring the project team is well-informed about required efforts, technical limitations, and impacts on existing system stability.Assists departments and project teams in defining requirements for new systems.Supports project managers in developing project plans focused on technical work requirements and efforts.Engages in vendor selection processes, including demonstrations and functional comparisons.Completes necessary departmental pre-purchase checklists and documentation.Contributes to contracts and statements of work for new systems and functionalities in supported areas.Provides input to design teams in creating updated process diagrams, screen layouts, and other design elements as specified by the project team.Drafts design specifications.Executes system build and development tasks based on design specifications.Conducts unit testing of system components to validate accuracy of builds as per specifications.Participates in testing using test scripts to confirm business processes.Contributes to the development and validation of training materials.Engages in training sessions to ensure effective knowledge transfer to end users.Participates in go-live events, providing support, training, and troubleshooting assistance to deployment teams.Offers technical support to system end users, acting as the primary resource for managing and resolving system issues.Maintains software for assigned systems at supportable levels and communicates available updates and enhancements to end users.Monitors incident tickets and ensures timely resolution.Keeps detailed system documentation reflecting system architecture, security, and other requirements as defined in documentation templates.Leads analysis of current states.Develops alternative solutions and guides teams through analysis.Creates project plans for small to medium implementations and upgrades.Coordinates vendor selection activities.Leads system design teams, ensuring all business processes are addressed within specifications.Develops comprehensive test plans covering organizational business processes affected by implementation.Coordinates cross-functional integrated testing, managing schedules, organizing staff, and tracking issues.Participates in coordinating go-live events, developing detailed plans and coordinating resources.Engages in change management activities for assigned systems.Coordinates optimization activities, proactively identifying improvements for enhanced end-user effectiveness.Communicates effectively at all organizational levels.Operates independently, executing assignments with minimal oversight.Participates in implementations with high complexity and organizational visibility.Stays informed about current industry developments and trends.Advises supervisors on project progress and any key issues.Understands the Quality Assurance and Improvement Plan and participates in departmental activities as requested.Performs other assignments as specified by the supervisor.Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Two to three years of experience in information technology application development, training, and implementation within a healthcare setting, with a strong preference for experience in Epic systems and processes.Certification in Epic MyChart or EpicCare Ambulatory is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree in a related field.

Licensure: None

Possesses a thorough understanding of information technology and a solid working knowledge of recent advancements in software systems, programming languages, utility software, report writers, query languages, relational databases, networking, and computer equipment.Demonstrates a good understanding of the Epic system and its integration with related systems.Able to gather and document business and information systems requirements for hospital departments, providing formal analysis and design for recommended solutions.Exhibits the skills and knowledge necessary to serve as a Project Leader for the development and/or installation of new computer systems and software applications.Capable of working effectively in a team environment and meeting project timelines with specific deliverables.Handles a significant volume of changes and adjustments within the hospital environment.Demonstrates conscientiousness, accuracy, and the ability to respond logically to unusual or stressful situations while exercising sound judgment.Proficient in the MS Office Professional Family Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.Work Schedule

This is a salaried position, typically Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with after-hours and on-call responsibilities as needed.
