The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our interdisciplinary cluster in Renewable Energy and Chemical Transformations. As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen our academic offerings and research mission, we are looking for a talented individual to contribute to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct cutting-edge research in renewable energy and chemical transformations, with a focus on catalysis science and engineering.
  • Develop and lead research projects that integrate with existing strengths in our cluster, including catalysis science and engineering.
  • Collaborate with faculty members in physics, chemistry, and materials science and engineering to foster interdisciplinary research and teaching.
  • Teach and mentor students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, with a focus on student-centered learning approaches.
  • Develop and implement innovative research and teaching strategies to enhance the success of our cluster.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. from an accredited institution in physics, chemistry, materials science and engineering, or a related field.
  • Consistent track record of competitively funded research grants and contracts.
  • Demonstrated research leadership ability and interpersonal skills.
  • Years of experience in a similar position: Assistant professor: Two (2) years. Associate professor: Five (5) years.
  • The selected candidate must have a demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with rank in the tenure department.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing research at the highest level: Assistant professor: Four (4) years. Associate professor: Six (6) years.
  • Consistent track record of impactful publications.
