Senior Property Claims Adjuster

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Claims Adjuster to join our team at USAA. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and negotiating complex property insurance claims presented by or against our members.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and evaluate complex property insurance claims, including those involving moderate to large severity losses.
- Negotiate equitable settlements in compliance with all state regulatory requirements.
- Partner with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution.
- Proactively manage assigned claims caseload, comprised of claims with moderate complexity damages.
- Develop recommendations and collaborate with management for determining settlement amounts outside of authority limits.
- 2 years relevant property adjusting and/or claims adjusting experience handling moderately complex claims.
- Working knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.
- Working knowledge of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law and state laws and regulations.
- Proficient in prioritizing and multi-tasking, including navigating through multiple business applications.
- Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.
