Description

COLLISION REPAIR ESTIMATOR

The Estimator role is pivotal in interacting with clients to assess vehicle collision damages, bodywork, and paint issues, as well as addressing manufacturer warranty requirements. This position is crucial for acquiring and retaining clientele for the Bert Ogden Auto Group Collision Repair Center by effectively fulfilling customer needs. The Estimator is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer engagement while coordinating repair order completion with various departments including blueprinting, body technicians, and parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit a friendly, accommodating, and professional demeanor towards all insurance representatives, customers, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate reliability by adhering to the work schedule, arriving early for production meetings, and staying late when necessary to manage workload.
  • Communicate repair requirements clearly to customers, outlining expected timelines and cost estimates.
  • Document customer expectations during production meetings and provide updates throughout the repair process.
  • Engage effectively with insurance companies and customers, ensuring a welcoming environment during the estimation and repair process.
  • Proactively resolve customer concerns before escalating to management, utilizing established protocols and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Prepare and deliver estimates, secure work authorizations, and manage repair orders and warranties.
  • Maintain composure and efficiency while handling high volumes of work under pressure.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and keep the workspace organized.
  • Achieve positive customer service feedback by meeting established service standards.
  • Possess strong organizational and computer skills, with proficiency in estimating and management systems such as CCC One, Mitchell, Audatex, and others.
  • Thoroughly document the repair process and prepare accurate damage reports.
  • Evaluate body damage, create estimates, and prepare work orders.
  • Foster positive working relationships with internal departments, insurance adjusters, and customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Exhibit ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Bert Ogden Auto Group brand.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures for all assigned tasks.
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance operational efficiency and participate in company-sponsored training and meetings.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Review completed vehicles to ensure quality and thoroughness.

Qualifications:

**Must be at least 21 years of age.

**Must successfully pass a hair follicle drug test and background screening.

**Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

**High school diploma or equivalent.

**Ability to read and understand instructions and information.

**General mechanical aptitude.

**Manual dexterity and good judgment.
