Job Title: Patient Service Representative PRN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative PRN to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a Patient Service Representative PRN, you will be the first point of contact for patients entering our facilities, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet incoming customers in a professional manner and assess their needs.
  • Update and verify patient demographics, insurance, and contact information.
  • Efficiently process patient paperwork and educate patients on financial assistance.
  • Direct patients on next steps and inform them about delays and wait times.
  • Promptly schedule appointments and receive payments from patients.
  • Support administrative functions and coordinate with other care teams.

Requirements:

  • 6 months of customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills.
  • Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of customer service experience in a hospital or medical office.
  • Problem-solving ability, analytical skills, and self-motivation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Interact with others requiring the ability to communicate information.
  • Operate computers and other office equipment.
  • See and read computer monitors and documents.
  • Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time.
