Job Title: Diesel Technician/Mechanic

Job Summary:

Penske is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Technician/Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers by diagnosing and repairing maintenance issues on our trucks in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond timely to road assist calls and repair units by identifying and determining parts requiring replacement and warrantable repairs.
  • Perform diagnostics and non-road assist call repairs as needed.
  • Restock rapid assist vehicle with tools, parts, tires, or other necessary items.
  • Perform maintenance or repairs to road assist vehicle as required.
  • Assist with designated in-shop repairs as directed by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
  • Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of shop tools required.
  • Current CDL license with air brake certification required.
  • Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems.
