Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Albany, NY. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
  • Basic tools, required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
