Job Title: Engineering Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Engineering Professor to join our team at Tacoma Community College. As an Engineering Professor, you will be responsible for teaching introductory Engineering courses, preparing and leading in-class design activities, and mentoring student teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Engineering Design, with an emphasis on teamwork, project management, design process, and service learning.
  • Prepare and teach parametric solid modeling using SolidWorks software to create virtual models.
  • Prepare and teach hand-drawing as a tool for visualization.
  • Interface with clients in regard to service learning projects.
  • Mentor student teams and evaluate student work.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in engineering or closely related field from an accredited college or university, or comparable professional credentials.
  • Experience teaching college-level engineering courses.
