Position Overview:

MDT Institute is excited to announce the launch of our innovative Medical Assisting hybrid program, designed to equip students with essential skills for a successful career in healthcare. We are currently in search of a dedicated Medical Assisting Instructor to contribute to our mission of fostering a student-centered learning environment.


Role Summary:

The Medical Assisting Faculty plays a pivotal role in guiding student learning and enhancing their critical thinking abilities, ensuring they are well-prepared to make informed and effective decisions in their future roles.

This instructor will cultivate a supportive learning atmosphere that emphasizes mutual respect and accountability. Responsibilities include delivering instruction in various formats—classroom, online, and laboratory settings—while assessing student performance and engaging in curriculum development and program evaluation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement effective lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote analytical thinking among students.
  • Utilize diverse educational resources to enrich the learning experience.
  • Encourage student success through effective classroom and lab instruction.
  • Evaluate and document student progress, providing timely grades and constructive feedback.
  • Assist students in identifying their strengths and areas for improvement, developing personalized remediation plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of grades and reports, adhering to academic policies.
  • Foster a disciplined classroom environment and build student confidence in their career preparation.
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors to ensure consistency in teaching practices that enhance student outcomes.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to refine teaching skills and contribute to departmental initiatives.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess the following:

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or a similar training entity.
  • Current certification as a medical assistant.
  • Prior teaching experience in both classroom and online settings.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience as a Medical Assistant.

  • Effective communication skills with diverse populations, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail in record-keeping and use of technology.
  • Flexibility in work hours to accommodate student needs.
