Custom Paper Tubes is seeking to fill the role of a full- or part-time Production Equipment Specialist / Setup Technician & General Assembler. This position involves the setup and operation of spiral paper tube winders within our manufacturing environment. Are you a motivated and reliable individual with experience in production? This position offers a competitive starting wage of $18.00/hour, based on experience, with potential for performance-based raises. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST / SETUP TECHNICIAN & GENERAL ASSEMBLER

In this role, you will be integral to our operations. Your main responsibility will be to configure machines according to work orders and specifications. Utilizing your mechanical skills, you will troubleshoot and adjust setups as necessary. You will gather all required materials and tools to perform measuring, cutting, assembly, and other production tasks. As a skilled assembler, you will fill, weigh, and label each package, ensuring attention to detail while maintaining an inventory of materials and notifying management when supplies are low.

Quality is paramount in your work, and you will monitor production performance closely. Safety is your top priority as you operate machinery, adhering strictly to all safety protocols. You will also have opportunities for cross-training on various production equipment, allowing you to expand your skill set.

As a responsible team member, you will manage your material inventory and inform colleagues when supplies are running low. You will ensure client satisfaction by accurately counting or weighing products packed into cartons and applying labels. Your commitment to quality and sustainability will shine through as you contribute to creating beautiful packaging from recycled materials.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST / SETUP TECHNICIAN & GENERAL ASSEMBLER

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Familiarity with rulers and calipers
  • Capability to lift items up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods

This role operates on the 1st shift with a typical schedule of Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm. Occasional Friday shifts may be required based on production demands.
