Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Food Production Sanitation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and food safety in our kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-operational and operational sanitation checks and functions to ensure a clean and safe environment for food production.
  • Ensure proper sanitation of food bank equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist in the decanting process, removing food items from packaging and staging for production.
  • Support the order assembly process, staging sealed pans and other items on carts for delivery to customer sites.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as LEAN council, kaizen, and 5S campaigns, to drive process improvements and enhance food safety.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of cooking experience in a high-volume food service setting.
  • ServSafe certification and HACCP training preferred but not required.
  • Strong commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
  • Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions.
Compensation

$20 per hour
