About the Role

Broadridge is seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Leader to lead our Mainframe Modernization initiative. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to modernize and standardize our mainframe system software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for modernizing and standardizing mainframe system software, including source code version control, transmission methodologies, and process automation.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Identify emerging technologies and best practices for mainframe modernization, and oversee their implementation to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze existing manual processes and workflows, and implement standardized procedures to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline operations.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to evaluate, select, and integrate tools and solutions that align with our modernization objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including IT, operations, and business development, to ensure alignment of mainframe modernization initiatives with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure that all modernization efforts adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols, minimizing risk and maintaining system integrity.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress of modernization initiatives and provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing the modernization of mainframe system software.
  • Deep understanding of mainframe technologies, including source code version control, transmission methodologies, production support, and legacy system integration.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset, capable of developing and executing long-term plans to achieve business objectives.
