Job Description

At Intellibee Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Engineering Management functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and administering sound Engineering policies and procedures to ensure that product engineering designs meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Sales Department on new product launches and engineering changes.
  • Assist in cost estimating and provide support to the Production & Quality Control departments.
  • Coordinate and champion new launch programs, chair APQP meetings, and develop aids to assist the Quality Department in creating an error-free production environment.
  • Implement Control Plans and FMEAs, design product and building documentation, and provide control and timely implementation of engineering changes.
  • Promote proper engineering attitudes among employees and establish sound engineering standards and objectives for measuring engineering efficiency results.
  • Deal directly with other staff management of the Production group and may interact with customers about problems that cannot be handled at the Plant level.
  • Recommend modifications and purchases of equipment to maintain the highest level of engineering integrity.
  • Coordinate Engineering activities and provide guidance to Production & Quality Managers, Plant Managers, and Production staff on engineering issues.
  • Develop a communication network with staff functions and the Plant Managers to efficiently and effectively produce parts of optimum reliability & quality within or below cost boundaries.
  • Train, direct, develop, supervise, and evaluate Engineering/Maintenance staff.
  • Develop cost control methods within the Engineering/Maintenance function and prepare and present departmental budgets.
  • Provide strategic planning and submit timely Engineering/Maintenance plans.
  • Recommend improvements and changes at the facility and perform special assignments as delegated.

Requirements:

A college degree in Engineering with 10 or more years of experience in the automotive or manufacturing field is required. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of manufacturing engineering processes and in-depth knowledge of best engineering practices in automotive production facilities. Excellent oral/written communications, interpersonal, and computer skills are also essential.
