Job Description

Senior Quality Engineer

At RGBSI, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define containment actions to apply for customer protection, including supplier issues
  • Conduct vehicle issue diagnosis and root cause analysis
  • Ensure that the team carries out pre-analysis activities on time
  • Lead corrective action plans and risk assessments
  • Guarantee product-process maturity of components within serial life (windows change management)
  • Propose alternative product solutions in case of issues to avoid stopping mass production
  • Participate in Quality ENG tech clubs
  • Implement good ideas and standards (Read Across)
  • Ensure the right application of technical requirements and meta-function métiers standards in the plant
  • Ensure that the team's skills are at the right level
  • Manage daily management control meetings
  • Ensure the team works in a safe environment
  • Lead quality KPI management to achieve quality objectives, driving improvement/corrective actions and escalation
  • Resolve systemic/chronic or major quality issues (Top Warranty, Recalls, etc.)
  • Provide technical support for Yard Holds/Product Related Issues (PRI's) as a technical referent
  • Set up and maintain process/product standards for vehicle and system functional objectives (i.e. ADAS, BSR, FEA)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BAC+3) or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
  • Previous experience in an Engineering Department, Vehicle/mechanic Plant, or Project team
  • Ability to lead an Engineering team to deliver product changes and launches on time
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, from high-level meetings to the shop floor
  • Ability to work off-shift hours as necessary
  • Self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to thrive in a high-intensity environment while working on multiple projects
  • Rigorous and pragmatic
  • Languages: plant language & English

Preferred Requirements:

  • Masters Degree
  • Green belt
  • World Class Manufacturing Experience

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Quantitative KPIs including but not limited to:
  • Problem Resolution - Time to fix, Time to close QAN/QIF delay
  • Pre-analysis handling time (parts analysis back from the field) – Palantir-Foundry
  • Deviations to handle
  • Internal Plant Indicators (DRR, DVx, SCA, status/Repair vehicles, roll bench, wheel alignment, ADAS, etc.)
  • Issues without containment action
  • Issues to escalate
  • Safety issues handling time
  • PPAP KPI (assembling test). Initial Samples verdict delay
  • New issues detected by audit
  • 3MIS Warranty (PPM)
  • Safety KPI STOP
  • 5S
