Director Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all daily operations of the Emergency Services Department, ensuring seamless execution of disaster response and recovery efforts.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and achieve departmental vision, goals, and objectives.
  • Create and implement processes and procedures to meet departmental goals, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop comprehensive training and continuing education programs to support onboarding, technician development, and leadership growth within the department.
  • Analyze departmental data to establish financial goals and strategize for definitive growth, driving business expansion and revenue increase.
  • Conduct performance reviews, hold staff members accountable, and utilize EOS processes to drive performance improvement.
  • Identify and resolve departmental issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, staff, and external partners, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to expand the organization and drive business growth.
  • Attend and host workshops, lectures, and training sessions to enhance knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Write, edit, and send estimates for mitigation work, ensuring accurate and timely communication with clients.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of leadership through consistent delivery and company development, with a focus on driving growth and excellence.
  • MUST have proven success managing a $10M+ department, demonstrating expertise in financial management and strategic planning.
  • Excellent verbal, written, telephonic, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience speaking to larger groups of employees or clients in various forums, with a strong presence and persuasive ability.
  • Proficient in MS Office and related software systems, including Xactimate, Docusketch, and MICA, to drive departmental performance and efficiency.
  • High organization and multitasking skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
