Your Role
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the project lifecycle, assisting the project team in managing critical information and authorizations necessary for successful project completion. This position primarily involves on-site work, with occasional office visits for training and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
1. Oversee the change management process under the guidance of the Project Manager.
2. Contribute to monthly financial reporting meetings with relevant data and insights.
3. Ensure adherence to project control procedures, including cost tracking and payment requests.
4. Expedite material deliveries and manage shop drawing preparations.
5. Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging team members to explore new solutions to challenges.
6. Identify client needs and align them with Gilbane's offerings to enhance business development efforts.
7. Promote a customer-centric approach within teams by actively seeking and responding to client feedback.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction management or general contracting environment, specifically on projects valued between $5 million and $50 million.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt style to various audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with financial management principles.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction documentation.
