About the Role

At Systems Plus, we're looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Senior Instructional Designer. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge learning solutions for the Foreign Service Institute.

Job Description

In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting innovative strategies to address complex learning needs. You'll work closely with leadership and subject matter experts to design and develop solutions that meet the unique requirements of our clients.

  • Crafting comprehensive instructional designs that incorporate various learning modalities, including blended, mobile, multimodal, gaming, focused experiential, and simulation-based learning.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and implement digital learning solutions that meet performance gaps, work context, and audience needs.
  • Conducting thorough needs assessments to identify effective digital learning approaches and recommending technology solutions to address curricular needs.
  • Creating engaging digital learning experiences that leverage various methods and technologies, including e-learning courses, mobile apps, microlearning, synchronous seminars, and more.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 6+ years of instructional design experience, preferably in a government or defense sector setting.
  • A master's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in digital learning solutions, including e-learning courses, mobile learning, simulations, microlearning, and more.
  • A proven track record of collaborating effectively with subject matter experts and project teams to produce high-quality learning solutions.
  • Familiarity with US government web/mobile development policies and standards, as well as knowledge of language learning principles.
