Job Overview

The Housekeeping Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the hotel's communal spaces. Key responsibilities may include:

  • Thoroughly cleaning designated areas as per hotel standards.
  • Setting up and maintaining complimentary services in the hotel lobby, including coffee stations and evening concierge events.
  • Preparing meeting rooms for functions and ensuring they are tidy and well-equipped.
  • Delivering requested items to guest rooms efficiently and courteously.
  • Operating the shuttle van as required by property needs.

Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in corridors, elevators, and assigned areas. This includes:

  • Delivering items such as luggage, irons, and coffee to guest rooms as needed.
  • Participating in nightly concierge events and assisting with meeting room setups.
  • Responding to requests from the front desk for service items.
  • Driving the shuttle van when necessary, depending on property specifications.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in hospitality or a related field.
  • A valid driver's license for the applicable state and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively.
  • Quickly assess and choose among various courses of action.
  • Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure.

Core Duties

  • Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Daily cleaning and buffing of floors according to established protocols.
  • Shampooing carpets and furniture in public areas as needed.
  • Regular maintenance of public restrooms.
  • Assist guests with luggage in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure the safety of guests and colleagues.
  • Manage lost and found items according to company standards.
  • Submit completed daily assignment checklists to supervisors.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
