Overview:

The Clinical Intake Coordinator RN will play a crucial role in our intake function, serving patients and families across all markets. This position will be based at our facility location in Phoenix, working under the general supervision of the Director of Admissions or Facility CEO. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Available Shifts and Hours:

Our schedule provides flexibility through 12-hour shifts, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week. The Clinical Intake Coordinator RN will work 3 days per week, with the ability to adjust to meet the needs of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform telephone preadmission for screening and clinical assessment
  • Perform insurance benefit verifications and assist with pre-certification as needed
  • Respond to inquiries and referrals regarding the facility and patient admissions
  • Communicate with other facility and company medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure appropriate placement recommendations and admissions
  • Provide accurate and ongoing assessment of patients' status in the referral, admissions, and intake processes
  • Perform ongoing assessments and physical function, emotional, social, spiritual, and financial needs on patients and implement crisis intervention and referral
  • Work with the Business Development team to assess the needs of patients and initiate, implement, and evaluate individualized patient plans
  • Build a positive relationship with statewide behavioral health market stakeholders, including physicians, physician office staff, and hospitals
  • Maintain a professional approach with confidentiality and assure protection and privacy of health information

Qualifications:

  • Active RN License or Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related Social Services Field required
  • Minimum of six months in psychiatric and/or behavioral intake department and/or six months in psychiatric and/or behavioral Business Development and/or Marketing required
  • Must demonstrate expertise in analysis, decision making, time management, oral and written communication skills, computer use, customer service skills, and strong ability to function efficiently and effectively in a high-stress and fast-paced environment
