Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of products and plant systems. The successful candidate will perform physical and visual inspections, document results accurately, and take corrective action when necessary. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems
  • Document and calculate results accurately
  • Take corrective action when necessary, including alerting appropriate personnel and identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming product
  • Report results to management
  • Assist with other assignments as requested
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other QA type experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce
  • Good problem identification and problem-solving skills
  • Math and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications
  • Ability to function well under stress
  • Flexibility to work where and when needed
Physical Requirements

This position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more).

Work Environment

This role is based in the United States and does not require travel.
