Quality Assurance Specialist

This position is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of products and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately. The successful candidate will take corrective action when necessary, alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying and segregating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management. Additionally, this role requires a strong focus on safety, including personal safety and food safety.
Requirements- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other QA type experience preferred
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Special Skills: Ability to complete Tyson paperwork, lead by example, motivate the hourly workforce, and possess good problem identification and problem-solving skills
- Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more) involved
