Position Overview
The Project Manager for Civil Engineering will operate from our Loveland, CO office. This role involves leading a team of designers and support personnel to turn client visions into tangible projects. The Project Manager will serve as a key liaison with clients, oversee civil design tasks, and provide leadership to the project team. We emphasize a supportive environment that allows Project Managers the autonomy to manage their projects effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management and technical applications.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for land development, including grading, drainage, roadways, sewer systems, stormwater management, and utility design.
  • Ability to apply civil engineering principles in a dynamic, service-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in preparing grading plans, utility layouts, site plans, and preliminary cost estimates.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a desire to maintain a high profile within the company and with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in marketing and client development efforts for the division.
  • Define design criteria and oversee efficient project design and documentation.
  • Address design challenges using engineering calculations and adhering to established design standards.
  • Establish project controls to ensure accuracy and quality in deliverables.
  • Manage technical quality, profitability, timelines, project staff coordination, and client communication.
  • Lead plan processing with public agencies.
  • Engage with clients daily, develop proposals, negotiate project scopes and fees, and manage billing and change orders.
  • Supervise project staff, including design engineers and CAD technicians, while mentoring junior team members in fundamental engineering practices.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
