Position Overview
This role is based in our Loveland, CO office. The Civil Engineering Project Manager is responsible for leading a team of designers and support personnel to bring client visions to reality. This multifaceted position encompasses roles such as Client Liaison, Civil Designer, and Team Leader. We emphasize providing Project Managers with both the autonomy and resources necessary to effectively manage their projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A valid P.E. license is mandatory, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a leadership role involving technical applications and project management.
  • Proficient design skills utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D for land development, covering grading, drainage, roadways, sewer systems, stormwater management, and utility design.
  • Ability to implement established civil engineering principles within a dynamic, service-oriented business context.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in developing grading plans, utility layouts, site plans, and preliminary cost assessments.
  • Strong communication and organizational capabilities, with a desire to operate in a highly visible role both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director on marketing and client engagement strategies for the Division.
  • Define design criteria and oversee efficient design and documentation processes.
  • Address design challenges through engineering calculations and adherence to established design standards.
  • Establish project controls to ensure precision and quality in deliverables.
  • Guarantee technical quality, profitability, adherence to schedules, coordination among project staff, and effective client communication.
  • Lead the processing of plans with public agencies.
  • Engage with clients daily, develop proposals, negotiate project scopes and fees, and manage billing and change orders.
  • Supervise project staff, including design engineers and CAD technicians, while mentoring junior staff in fundamental engineering practices.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
