Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Alameda Health System is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join its team at the Eastmont Wellness Center in Oakland, CA. This is a Services as Needed (SAN, per diem) position, providing flexible coverage for our Women's clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patient health needs, providing comprehensive care and treatment.
- Consult with physicians as needed, referring complex cases to appropriate resources.
- Order and perform laboratory and screening tests, maintaining accurate health records.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, seeking consultation as necessary.
- Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and staff, promoting good health practices.
- Demonstrated experience as a Mid-Level Practitioner, with a strong background in Women's Health.
- Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner training program or Physician Assistant program.
- Current Furnishing Number issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing and Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Number and Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- One year of experience in Women's Health or a related specialty.
- Post-graduate training or residency in a relevant area.
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS, ATLS, or SART.
Eastmont Wellness Center is a large outpatient center serving a diverse patient population in East Oakland, CA. We provide high-quality, accessible care to our community's most vulnerable patients, with a focus on Women's Health and Family Medicine.
