Position Overview

Preschool Lead Teacher: As a vital member of Mia Maison Childcare LLC, you will be responsible for nurturing and educating young children in accordance with state regulations and our center's standards. Your role will involve creating a safe and engaging classroom environment that promotes cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute a comprehensive, year-round curriculum tailored to developmental milestones, incorporating weekly themes and lesson plans.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped classroom, ensuring all materials promote hygiene and address any medical needs appropriately.
  • Instruct children in essential life skills and guide them through daily routines such as meals, dressing, bathroom use, and naptime.
  • Introduce foundational concepts such as letters, numbers, shapes, and colors through engaging activities like storytelling, singing, games, and arts and crafts.
  • Encourage self-esteem and foster an inclusive atmosphere for all children.
  • Support emotional and social growth by providing individualized attention and establishing clear behavioral expectations.
  • Monitor children for any signs of behavioral or learning challenges, documenting their progress consistently.
  • Provide mentorship and training to new hires and volunteers.
  • Organize and conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss children's development.
  • Keep parents informed by documenting observations and daily activities of each child.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must:

  1. Be physically capable of engaging with children at their level, including bending and stooping.
  2. Exhibit the ability to actively play and communicate with children, including running and demonstrating physical activities.
  3. Be prepared to stand for the majority of the workday.
  4. Possess a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent, or be enrolled in a CDA program, along with two years of experience in a childcare setting.
