Job Overview

Mia Maison Childcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Educator to join our team. As a key member of our childcare staff, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth in our children.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Teach children essential life skills, such as mealtime routines, dressing, and bathroom use, while promoting independence and self-esteem.
  • Foster emotional and social development through one-on-one attention, positive reinforcement, and setting clear behavioral expectations.
  • Monitor children's progress, identify areas of concern, and collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies for support.
  • Coach, mentor, and train new staff members and volunteers to ensure a cohesive and effective team.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through regular updates, parent-teacher conferences, and other means.
Requirements
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and interact with children at their level.
  • Must be able to play and communicate with children, including running, jumping, and demonstrating physical exercise.
  • Must be able to stand for approximately 95% of the workday.
  • Should have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent, or be enrolled in a CDA program.
  • Two years' experience working with children in a center setting is preferred.
  • Other requirements may include a love of working with children, knowledge of child development and education, familiarity with local laws regarding childcare, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Reporting Relationships

The Lead Educator will report directly to the Department Lead Supervisor.
