Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team at CPP-Euclid. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to our Facilities group, troubleshooting PLC control problems, and advancing the state of program development and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes by applying automated equipment.
  • Work with the Maintenance personnel to understand the root cause of control-related failures.
  • Develop within the Maintenance department a basic understanding of higher-level controls troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new control methods and provide Operations with the necessary tools.
  • Interpret controls needs of mechanical designs and develop electrical and controls standards for new equipment.
  • Research supplier products to address existing problems and eliminate waste using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Participate in the startup of new equipment and ensure all equipment controls are accurately defined and maintained.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSEE preferred)
  • 5+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for Investment Casting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC and HMI programming, as well as configuring and designing HMI/OIT systems.
  • Experience with Motion Control and Vision, with Robot experience being a plus.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take action in solving problems.
Working Environment

This is a full-time position that requires working on the shop floor and in an office environment. The physical demands of the job include sitting or standing for long periods, lifting metal castings up to 50 lbs, and extended periods of time using a computer screen. Travel requirements may include visiting other Turbine Technologies sites as needed.
