**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our Plant Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for our manufacturing processes. This is a critical role that requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and implement control systems for manufacturing processes, including hardware and software components.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Plant Engineering, MES, IT, Maintenance, and Production, to support production and facility projects.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to meet current and future continuous improvement project goals.
  • Estimate time and cost for new projects and review capital equipment proposals to ensure equipment meets company specifications.
  • Provide on-site assistance troubleshooting and remediating hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Reduce downtime on production equipment due to issues with the control system.
  • Support network backup and device patching management process.
  • Assist in management and inventory of control system assets.
  • Improve system and maintenance performance based on availability and reliability.
  • Review security vulnerabilities and request remediation from respective teams.
  • Compile data from connected devices and make it available to users throughout the organization.
  • Develop and apply standards for control systems hardware and software.
  • Solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in automation engineering, control systems, or related field.
  • Experience with automation hardware and software platforms, including PLC and HMI.
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, 70E, NFPA 79, and other technical codes.
  • Ability to support and troubleshoot industrial equipment.
  • Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments and changing priorities.
  • Work effectively with employees on all levels of the organization.
  • Provide excellent written and oral communication skills.
