Overview:
This role is pivotal in overseeing the following operational areas:
  • Develops and maintains the operational framework for the warehouse and stockroom. Ensures the efficiency of warehousing and distribution activities by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing effective operational and personnel policies.
  • Achieves operational benchmarks by contributing insights to strategic planning and reviews; implementing standards for production, productivity, quality, and customer service; troubleshooting issues; and identifying enhancements to warehouse processes and systems.
  • Provides direct oversight and leadership to assigned teams through continuous guidance and support.
  • Protects warehouse operations and assets by establishing and monitoring security and safety protocols.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy by adhering to standard operating procedures, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies with warehouse management system records, and implementing corrective measures to enhance accuracy.
  • Implements strategies to maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and executing innovative ideas.
  • Optimizes space utilization through effective consolidation of warehouse and stockroom resources.
  • Ensures proper product rotation as necessary.
  • Guarantees the timely and precise completion of all required documentation and reports.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating employees, including conducting performance reviews and managing disciplinary actions.
  • Assists with various projects as directed by management.
  • May be required to support warehouse functions, including but not limited to shipping, packing, loading, unloading, and sorting.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Direct Reports:

Work Schedule: Full-time, first shift, with potential overtime to meet operational needs.

Required Experience:
  • A minimum of three years in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with kitting, manufacturing work orders, and stockroom material flow.
  • Familiarity with materials-related documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, pick lists, and manufacturing orders.
  • Knowledge of inventory control processes, including adherence to SOPs, error checking, cycle counting, and physical inventories.
  • Experience collaborating with logistics providers, including UPS, FedEx, trucking companies, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Proven ability to manage teams of ten or more warehouse associates.
  • Experience in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, and training materials.

  • Physical capabilities: ability to lift packages or oversized materials up to 50 lbs and maneuver products using material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for approximately 70% of the time and in a seated position as needed.
  • Involvement in setting up production kits, verifying part numbers, and quantities against the bill of materials, substitutes, equipment, and fixtures as required.
  • Participation in physical inventory counts (mandatory).
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues within the warehouse and stockroom.
