Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Conagra Brands. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Area:
    • Conduct regular audits of production areas to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety regulations.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of all products produced for purposes of traceability and quality control.
    • Initiate quality holds and document production paperwork related to quality and food safety information.
    • Swab production lines for cleanliness and perform tests to ensure compliance with company product specifications.
    • Calibrate quality equipment used in support of production and execute hold actions and disposition for substandard product.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the plant and provide quality leadership to production operators.
  • Lab Area:
    • Perform analysis on finished product and raw meat samples according to plan of control and record information to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Enter analysis results into the database and analyze recorded information to determine any trends.
    • Perform required environmental tests and audits on equipment, materials, products, and procedures to ensure lab compliance with Lab Excellence standards.
    • Maintain the laboratory in a clean, safe, and orderly manner on a daily basis and manage documentation for the Supplier Complaint program and incoming ingredients and materials.
  • Qualifications:
    • Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in food processing, packing, or QA/Laboratory.
    • Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety issues.
    • Ability to work with little supervision in a fast-paced environment and basic skills necessary for using Microsoft Word and Excel, plus SAP and Sample Management software.
    • Ability to understand specifications and recognize product quality issues and effectively communicate deviations from quality standards to appropriate personnel.
    • Competency in process auditing and inspection.
