**Job Title:** Quality Assurance Specialist

**Department:** Quality Assurance

**Reports to:** Senior Operations Manager

**Status:** Non-exempt, full time

**Job Summary:**

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the production process. The individual in this position will focus on the quality side of products and process, starting with the receiving of raw materials, going through all points of the production line till shipping of finished goods.

**Responsibilities:**

1. Raw Product Processing:

• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure adherence to quality standards.

• Collaborate with production/warehouse teams to address and rectify quality issues promptly.

2. Industry Compliance:

• Stay informed about industry regulations and standards related to pet products.

• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry-specific requirements.

3. SQF Experience:

• Utilize SQF principles to develop and maintain a robust food safety and quality management system.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement SQF standards throughout the production process.

4. Data Management:

• Utilize Excel and Word skills to create and maintain detailed quality reports.

• Analyze data trends to identify areas for improvement in the production process.

**Requirements:**

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality technician role, preferably in pet industry manufacturing.

• Proficiency in SQF principles and previous experience in SQF audits.

• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills for data analysis and report generation.

• Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish for effective communication.

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
