Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Overnight Guest Service Agent to join our team at the Kimpton Schofield Hotel. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience during their stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Registration and check-out of hotel guests
  • PBX operations, mail and message service
  • Providing outstanding service to guests, including resolving any issues or concerns
  • Acting as an advocate for the hotel and developing relationships with guests to encourage repeat business
  • Reviewing arrivals, noting special requests and blocking rooms as needed
  • Completing all items on the appropriate checklist by the end of the shift
  • Conducting pre-assignment of hotel rooms, including VIPs, repeat guests and special requests
  • Following established key control policy and ensuring proper credit policies are followed
  • Submitting lost and found articles with a completed report
  • Familiarity with fire and emergency procedures
  • Opening, securing and balancing the daily shift bank, including counting and verifying cash, check and credit card transactions
  • Verifying credit limit reports and monitoring room availability throughout the shift
  • Reviewing the daily selling status of the hotel using the yield management system
  • Attending department meetings and communicating with other departments via telephone or radio

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer-facing role is helpful
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Knowledge of the immediate area, services, attractions and events
  • Flexible schedule, able to work overnights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work well under pressure and take care of multiple arrivals and departures within a short period of time
  • Familiarity with hotel systems and operations, and the ability to enter information accurately
