Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive customer relationships through effective communication, a proactive attitude, and timely service delivery.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on various security systems as per contractual obligations, ensuring all equipment is functioning optimally.
  • Minimize emergency service calls by performing thorough maintenance checks.
  • Participate in an on-call emergency rotation as required.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair security systems, recommending improvements for enhanced performance.
  • Alert supervisors about equipment needing further evaluation or potential replacement.
  • Provide technical insights to support sales efforts and assist in conducting system inspections.
  • Identify and relay sales opportunities discovered during service visits.
  • Deliver customer training on basic system operations.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relations to support contract retention.
  • Keep supervisors updated on customer needs and system statuses.
  • Maintain company documentation in line with established protocols.
  • Utilize materials and inventory responsibly, suggesting inventory needs as necessary.
  • Stay informed about advancements in products and technology.
  • Complete training programs as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in programming security systems (e.g., Andover Controls, Schneider Electric, Lenel, DSX, Pelco, Bosch, Avigilon, Ademco).
  • 2 years of experience in security system installation.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and IT networking is advantageous.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build customer relationships.
  • Adaptability to change and resilience.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Proven troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, typically in 8 to 10 hour shifts.
  • Physical stamina for standing and climbing for 4 to 6 hours daily.
  • Ability to kneel, lift, reach above shoulders, and bend for 4 to 5 hours daily.
  • Capability to twist and walk for 2 to 3 hours daily.
  • Occasional squatting and sitting for 1 to 2 hours daily.
  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 0 to 75 lbs., with frequent lifting of 35 to 50 lbs.
  • Competence in lifting from floor to above shoulder height.
  • Frequent use of hands for grasping and fine motor tasks.
  • Repetitive use of feet for operating equipment.
  • Vision sufficient for reading blueprints and color coding.
  • Balance for climbing ladders and scaffolds.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.
  • Use of personal protective equipment as necessary.
