Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the establishment and enhancement of Jacobi Carbons' Quality Management System. This position is essential for fostering continuous improvement across all aspects of the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and uphold quality assurance standard operating procedures and methodologies.
  • Develop and implement statistical tolerances while utilizing QA data from the laboratory.
  • Evaluate and categorize non-conforming products effectively.
  • Facilitate the assessment and approval of product reclassifications.
  • Ensure the completion of customer Supplied Part Approval Process documentation.
  • Lead investigations into quality-related customer issues.
  • Authorize Certificates of Analysis for all third-party carbon acquisitions.
  • Support the management and validation of third-party suppliers and their products.
  • Assist in maintaining JCI's ISO Quality Management System, including auditing processes.
  • Contribute to the management of quality-related certifications for the facility.
  • Support the approval process for new or modified product specifications.
  • Create Certificates of Analysis (COA) for materials produced or dispatched by JCI.
  • Train and guide departmental champions in the use of process flow diagrams, control plans, and PFMEAs.
  • Educate the production team on sample collection procedures.
  • Collaborate with the production team to refine existing product SOPs and develop PMCPs for all products.
  • Investigate internal processes and systems to initiate ongoing quality enhancements.
  • Adhere to company standards and legal regulations to foster a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in quality management is preferred.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 standards is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve issues independently.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships with leadership and colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the capacity to work autonomously.
