Quality Assurance Lead

Full Time | Day Shift

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is in search of a Quality Assurance Lead to oversee quality management initiatives within our health services division. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, training, and support to program personnel, including the QA team, while facilitating the execution and assessment of quality assurance and enhancement strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to licensing, accreditation, and certification standards as well as compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Design and implement training programs for QA Coordinators, Specialists, and Assistants.
  • Participate as a member of the Total Quality Management Committee.
  • Assist program QA Teams in achieving compliance with federal, state, and funding agency requirements.
  • Help create and maintain comprehensive files of funder-specific policy and procedure requirements using the organization's policy management system.
  • Support the re-accreditation process, which includes:
    • Gathering, analyzing, and reporting necessary data for the re-accreditation process;
    • Co-authoring and/or revising CARF standard policies;
    • Conducting mock site visits and interviews as part of CARF preparation;
    • Overseeing the Stakeholder Survey process within the QA Department;
    • Collaborating on the development and distribution of CARF updates during re-accreditation planning periods.
  • Lead and/or engage in national CARF workgroups as assigned.
  • Collect and analyze data for reports on the agency's quality advancement and improvement efforts, including trend analysis over time.
  • Assist state QA Teams in utilizing the agency's electronic health record and practice management systems.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Quality Improvement to implement and assess the Total Quality Management Plan.
  • Ensure the agency's compliance with HIPAA regulations and records management protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Services, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or Business/Public Administration, or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or program management. Relevant education and experience may be combined to meet the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Familiarity with contracts, Medicaid certifications, accreditations, and regulatory standards.
  • Experience in technical writing, quality assurance software, Management Information Systems, and data analysis.
  • Understanding of process improvement methodologies and evaluation frameworks.
  • Proficient in using desktop and laptop computers, smartphones, tablets, printers, fax machines, and photocopiers, as well as software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including group facilitation abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and sensitively with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds.
