Key Responsibilities- Collection Services: Provide medical collection services for TLRA collection units, utilizing a strong background in medical collections to successfully resolve accounts placed with TLRA for collection.
- Account Resolution: Perform collection activities related to follow-up and account resolution, including communication with patients, clients, reimbursement vendors, and other external entities while adhering to all client, state, and federal guidelines.
- Documentation and Updates: Document and update patient account information in TLRA's collection software system timely and accurately, including appropriate account status.
- Customer Service: Handle inbound patient and/or carrier calls promptly and professionally, providing assistance and resolution to account inquiries, issues, and requests.
- Productivity and Quality: Meet or exceed established productivity standards and quality metrics, ensuring daily productivity standards are met and quality recovery services are provided.
- Team Collaboration: Promote positive patient relations by communicating in a manner that demonstrates respect for the human dignity of patients and/or their families, and work effectively with other departments to obtain necessary information for appeals, pending information, and other issues that impact and/or delay claim processing.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent years of experience required.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a Customer Service call center environment with a focus on healthcare billing/collections or collection agency environment required.
- Skills: Solid knowledge and utilization of desktop applications, including Word and Excel, and general hospital A/R accounts knowledge.
