POSITION TITLE
PROGRAM LEADER
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Program Coordinator
JOB PURPOSE
The Program Leader is tasked with designing and facilitating activities for individuals with intellectual and developmental differences, ensuring that all participants can engage meaningfully. This role involves direct service, volunteer coordination, and collaboration with the program team to meet organizational objectives while creating a safe and inclusive atmosphere.

- Follow the guidelines set forth in the employee handbook.
- Maintain a full-time work schedule, primarily in-person with some remote flexibility for administrative tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable providing diverse support to participants of all abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ethical judgment.
PREFERRED
- First Aid and CPR certification (to be obtained within 90 days if not already certified).
- Experience in educational or recreational programs for individuals with mixed abilities.
- Valid driver's license for transportation duties.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google applications.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Planning and Coordination
- Collaborate with the program coordinator and other leaders to plan and implement program activities.
- Assist in conducting assessments as part of program planning.
- Develop and execute daily activity plans that are accessible to all participants.
- Engage volunteers in program initiatives.
Direct Service
- Lead activities and engage participants during programs.
- Support participants in their transitions and personal needs.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for all individuals.
Team Collaboration
- Participate in planning meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for all individuals.
Administrative Responsibilities
While the primary focus is on direct service, some time will be allocated to administrative tasks aligned with organizational goals and the employee's skills.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base Salary: $42,000
