Key Responsibilities:- Conduct daily production meetings to ensure all team members are aware of project deadlines and requirements.
- Monitor orders that are incoming as well as in production to ensure timely delivery and high-quality output.
- Follow systems and procedures outlined in the Production Management Manual to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Determine and set priorities for the production area to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects.
- Be aware of all job deadlines and requirements to ensure the most efficient delivery schedule possible.
- Order stock and supplies as needed to minimize waste and spoilage.
- Reject poor quality or incorrect jobs and schedule them to be redone when necessary.
- Initiate employee appraisals and disciplinary measures according to company policy.
- Three years of supervisory experience with 3 or more employees.
- Good math and communication skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions for machine set-up and maintenance.
- Ability to lead and build a team.
- Knowledge of all facets of print production: press, bindery, prepress, and copying.
- Use and update as necessary the computerized pricing/estimating program.
- Serve customers by taking orders and processing them accordingly.
- Accept and produce copy jobs as needed.
- Comply with all OSHA safety requirements.
- Experience with PrintSmith or PrintersPlan.
