Job Title: Diagnostic Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at WellStar Health System, Inc. in Douglasville, Georgia.

Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Sonographer will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, and vascular exams. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong understanding of anatomy and pathology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures using various modalities, including abdominal, obstetric, and vascular exams.
  • Position patients for exams, ensuring proper alignment and comfort.
  • Adjust equipment settings to optimize image quality and patient safety.
  • Review and analyze ultrasound images to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient information and exam results.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Sonography Program.
  • Registered Medical Sonographer (RMS) or ARRT Sonography certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in diagnostic sonography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and pathology.
