Position Overview:


The Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Operations is responsible for the strategic planning, oversight, and evaluation of market initiatives in key areas such as Imaging, Pharmacy, Genetic Counseling, Laboratory Services, and Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

This role involves collaboration with Sutter Health's ancillary leadership, acting as an administrative liaison among the Ambulatory CEO, medical personnel, foundation, market, and Sutter Health System leadership.

The Senior Vice President will hold accountability for market performance in these domains, focusing on financial management, strategic development, and the integration of ancillary services into upcoming facilities.

The position reports directly to the Ambulatory CEO.

Job Description:

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, public health, or a related discipline is required.

A Master's degree in healthcare administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or a similar advanced qualification is preferred.


Experience:
Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in healthcare operations management, with a substantial portion in senior leadership roles.
A proven history of managing operational functions within healthcare organizations, including hospitals, clinics, or similar facilities.
Experience in a non-profit healthcare setting is highly desirable.
Understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the non-profit sector.
Experience overseeing multiple sites or facilities within a healthcare network.
Demonstrated success in standardizing operations and ensuring consistency across various locations.

Knowledge:
A comprehensive understanding of the California managed care and healthcare industries, including the regulatory frameworks governing them.
Familiarity with the regulatory landscape of non-profit organizations.
Strong organizational, supervisory, and analytical skills necessary for managing the daily operations of the division.
A seasoned executive with exceptional management capabilities and a successful track record of leading organizational transformation in complex environments.

A strategic thinker and tactical executor capable of translating concepts into actionable plans and driving results and organizational enhancements through performance metrics.
