Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team as a Transportation Engineer - Roadway Design Expert. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of transportation infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and highways.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop transportation infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and highways, using software such as Microstation, PowerGeoPak, and OpenRoads.
  • Apply principles of roadway geometrics to ensure safety, efficiency, and sustainability in all projects.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, architects, and planners to develop comprehensive transportation designs.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on the progress and completion of projects to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to ensure the project's feasibility and accuracy.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation design, with a focus on roadway geometrics.
  • An Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification. (Or PE)
  • Proficiency in using Microstation, PowerGeoPak, and OpenRoads for transportation design.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles and practices, as well as local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • A proven track record of successfully completed transportation projects.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
