Job Title: Staff Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Civil Engineer to join our team at GEI Consultants. As a Staff Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing civil engineering projects, including pavement condition assessments, pavement design, and preparation of technical memos, reports, and construction plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop civil engineering projects, including pavement condition assessments and pavement design
  • Prepare technical memos, reports, and construction plans and specifications
  • Develop basic grading plans from existing survey data
  • Prepare permit, bidding, and documentation civil drawing sets
  • Prepare construction and repair estimates from final designs
  • Direct and coordinate the assembly of final plan sets from multiple discipline work
  • Field observation of construction activities
Requirements:
  • BS in Civil Engineering is required
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Must have passed the FE exam
  • 2-5 years of civil design experience with civil design, pavement, geotechnical, or roadway projects
  • Experienced with standard analysis programs, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft office programs, and surface water management programs desired
  • GIS and modeling is a plus
  • Willingness to travel and perform field work on civil, pavement, and geotechnical investigations and construction projects
