Job Overview

As Senior Vice President of Business Development, you will carry responsibility for new business acquisition efforts for One Six Solutions. You will lead a team that includes Sales and Marketing, including Alliances as well as Field Sales. You will serve as both a strong in-market player and a coach to your growing team.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to lead this growth path with a focus on acquiring new business in the upper middle market to lower enterprise segment (clients with $500M-$2B in annual revenue).

Core Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Sales and Marketing Team: Define, build, and lead the sales team and oversee the marketing team to support corporate growth objectives.
  2. Drive Revenue Growth: Drive revenue through acquisition, nurturing, and development of prospective opportunities with full responsibility for the company's annual net new revenue target.
  3. Originate New Business: Originate opportunities from any combination of personal network, One Six Solutions alliance partners, One Six Solutions marketing campaigns, and direct lead and work collaboratively with our teams on RFP responses, proposals, sales presentations, and other key sales deliverables.
  4. Build Strong Client Relationships: Interact with new clients to form strong trust-based relationships that open doors and close deals.
  5. Define Sales Processes: Define and implement sales processes to ensure repeatable and predictable revenue.
  6. Collaborate with Alliance Partners: Work closely with counterparts at key alliance partners such as Snowflake and AWS to package joint offerings and pursue joint targets.
  7. Understand Client Needs: Develop a deep understanding of the data needs of CIOs, CDOs, and line-of-business leaders as they deliver value for their companies through data and AI solutions.
  8. Develop GTM Plans: Define and execute GTM plans with the leadership team, CEO, and Board.
  9. Represent the Company: Serve as an ambassador of the company in all respects, acting with the utmost professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
Qualifications
  1. 10+ Years of Sales Experience: 10+ years of hands-on consultative sales experience and 5+ years managing a team with an established network/book of business. Experience selling into Life Sciences, Manufacturing and/or Gaming industries preferred.
  2. Exceptional Client-Facing Skills: Exceptional client-facing skills, reflecting high levels of energy, proactivity, and service-orientation; motivated to drive new business logos; possesses the drive, knowledge, and skill to prospect and qualify new business initiatives.
  3. Proven Sales Experience: Proven experience architecting and closing large, consultative, complex solution sales deals for midsize to large corporations; documented quota attainment.
  4. Sales Practices: Experience with sales practices including account-based targeting, value case development, solution selling, and channel management.
  5. Business Development: Proven experience in business development, relationship building & advanced closure, and in driving sales in a solutions-selling environment at the C-suite level.
  6. Technical Expertise: Clear understanding of the value creation potential of Data, AI, and ML services for the enterprise.
  7. Sales-Based Project Management: Technical expertise/sales-based project management experience; ability to shape deals and engagement structures including time constraints, resource constraints, resource allocation, project scale, project scope, and project duration.
  8. Interpersonal Skills: Superb interpersonal skills, effective at change management, and with a history of success working within individual and team environments.
  9. Innovative and Creative: Innovative and creative; exceptional verbal, written and visual communication skills.
  10. Experience in Alliance Ecosystem: Experience working in an Alliance ecosystem environment (Salesforce, Snowflake, AWS, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.) is strongly preferred.
  11. Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is required.

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience.
