As an A&P Inspector, you will embody our organizational principles by adhering to the ethical standards set forth by the company. You will demonstrate sound judgment, articulate the rationale behind your decisions, and involve the relevant stakeholders in the decision-making process. You will also provide support to colleagues and actively seek to resolve conflicts as they arise. The A&P Inspector plays a crucial role in advocating for and promoting company policies, including but not limited to product safety, safe work practices, and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local regulations. You will report any potentially hazardous conditions to your Crew Chief or a Senior Inspector as necessary. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections on various aircraft types (including engines, electrical systems, structures, controls, environmental systems, landing gear, and accessories) before, during, and after maintenance to ensure adherence to FAA regulations, production approval holder specifications, military standards, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
• Assess the serviceability of aircraft systems, components, and parts using precision measuring tools, gauges, instruments, and non-destructive testing (if certified).
• Perform preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections of all items repaired, maintained, inspected, or modified by the facility.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Quality Procedures (QPs), and Local Work Instructions.
• Provide procedural guidance to technicians and delegated inspectors. Mentor and assist technicians in proper work practices and procedures.
• Oversee ongoing work to ensure adherence to proper documentation, procedures, techniques, and methods as outlined in maintenance manuals, overhaul manuals, approved engineering documents, and other FAA-approved data.
• Record inspection outcomes in inspection documentation and logbooks. Conduct a final review of work order documentation prior to the release of articles. Ensure that the work performed is accurately documented on the work order.
• Investigate logbooks and prepare logbook entries and sign-offs for Return to Service (RTS) approval. Certify any article maintained or modified by the facility as airworthy concerning the work performed. Approve aircraft for return to service upon completion of maintenance or alterations. Report any conditions that could negatively impact the airworthiness of an article under repair or modification to the Quality Leader.
• Stay informed about the scope of required maintenance and inspections for customers and coordinate efforts to ensure timely turnaround.
• Uphold and comply with all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping policies. Position Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an A&P Mechanic is required, with experience in corporate aviation. Eligibility Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
• Must possess clear thinking and effective communication skills, both on the phone and in person.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination is essential.
• Must have 20/20 vision (corrected if necessary).
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary for interaction with customers and colleagues.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Desired Qualifications:
