Job Title: Informix Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Informix Database Administrator to join our team at GovCIO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, support, operation, and maintenance of database management systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in the design, implementation, and support of database management systems.
  • Perform data movement, troubleshoot issues, and write scripts to perform common database tasks.
  • Maintain complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection, and security.
  • Perform installs, configuration, migrations, restores, and monitor the security and performance of the systems.
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on DBMS concepts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience or commensurate experience.
  • Full knowledge of the job.
  • Strong Informix analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated Informix configuration and administration experience.
  • Demonstrated Informix performance tuning experience.
  • Demonstrated Informix backup and data recovery experience.
  • Basic scripting skills.
Clearance Required:

Ability to acquire and maintain Public Trust.
