Database Systems Manager

At University Health, we are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance relating to MS SQL Server and Oracle databases. This includes actively participating in project teams, work groups, and development efforts as assigned. The Database Administrator will manage multiple SQL server databases, ensuring appropriate levels of performance, availability, and security. Additionally, they will work to assure hardware and software resources are adequately being utilized. The Database Administrator will also document database procedures and provide training to technical and end-user staff as needed.
Requirements
Experience with upgrading and migrating databases is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with installing, configuring, upgrading, managing, and troubleshooting SQL and Oracle databases on physical and virtual servers. A bachelor's degree in computer science or data processing, or the equivalent in experience or training, is preferred. Minimum five years of experience in a related field is required. Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred. The Database Administrator will work with one or more of the following:
