Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking a highly skilled Informix Database Administrator to join our team. This role will be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, support, operation, and maintenance of database management systems (DBMS) such as Informix, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data movement, troubleshoot issues, and write scripts to perform common database tasks.
• Maintain complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection, and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
• Perform installs, configuration, migrations, restores, and monitor the security and performance of the systems to ensure they are not compromised.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support and prepare and deliver presentations on DBMS concepts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience or commensurate experience.
• Full knowledge of the job and moderate understanding of the general aspects of the job and its application.
• Strong Informix analytical and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated Informix configuration and administration experience.
• Demonstrated Informix performance tuning experience.
• Demonstrated Informix backup and data recovery experience.
• Basic scripting skills.
• Ability to acquire and maintain Public Trust clearance.
