Associate Director of Finance and Administrative Services

The Connecticut State Community College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Finance and Administrative Services to join our team. This is a tenure-track position that requires a Master's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related area, and a minimum of one year of experience in a Fiscal or Business Office, with up to two years of supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a wide range of accounting, finance, and administrative services at the Community College, including general accounting management, capital planning, grant accounting, travel and professional development, accounts receivable and billing, procurement and accounts payable, and fixed assets management.
- Develop long-range plans and strategies for the development and use of the College's physical and financial resources.
- Ensure the accurate, timely, and effective recording, accounting, reporting, and preservation of the College's financial and physical resources.
- Manage a comprehensive program of services to facilitate the operation of the College for its students, faculty, and staff.
- Master's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related area.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a Fiscal or Business Office.
- Up to two years of supervisory experience.
- Advanced knowledge and abilities in computer operations, Banner financial accounting systems, complex grants, fixed assets procurement and management, business office operations, cashier's/bursar's office, and state travel and professional development guidelines.
- Proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students.
- Experience working with state agencies and other external organizations in contract and grant compliance.
- One or more years of experience in Higher Education.
- Experience with budgets and planning.
